Put tadbulb on my 2025 shiny bingo card so I could push myself to hunt for it since it’s really annoying to hunt for.
Found one today! Almost failed it because I fell into a waterfall, got stuck, and the game respawned me far away. Thank goodness I saved before encountering it lmao

Phase 4 for shiny 1% Dustox is another shiny Buneary! Crossing my fingers that I’ll get something new next time around- have yet to get Budew despite its high encounter rate.

Also there’s an interesting glitch in Platinum wild double battles where a Pokemon’s sprite could glitch out if a shiny spawns! Only seems to happen if the regular Pokémon has a longer animation than the shiny one. As a fan of both shinies and glitches, I’m thriving!

Oh also guys there’s no way I’m getting it on the first phase because phase 1 ended last year! Shiny hoothoot on route 205 (dustox has the same encounter rate there) on the cursed ds lite :)
But phase two? Still doable. Highly unlikely.

10k encounters, 97 of which were dustox. All in one day. Pretty solid pace. At this rate I could hit odds for the 1% shiny dustox in three months! But I won’t because I don’t have THAT much time on my hands lol
