No National Guard were deployed in Washington DC in 1995, and there definitely should not be any now.

The second difference is almost laughable. You were more than five times more likely to die by homicide in Gary, IN at the time. You were also two times more likely to to die in Washington DC.

Gary's population at the time was 112,000(ish). Washington DC's population is currently a little over 700,000 - so a similar response would be 350 troops. Not 800.

Easy. I grew up as a Rush-baby, and I damned sure picked plenty of fields as a teen, and I will probably require my kids to do so as well. I agree that a LOT of people who voted for T-dog are in for a nasty surprise when they get the opposite of what they thought they were voting for.

lol! Republicans are absolutely as much to blame - hell, back in the late 90's Indiana (one of the reddest states - where I'm from) was openly advertising jobs at the southern border. Republicans loved open borders too, because it helped suppress labor costs and kept prices artificially low.
