I was looking at eccc and the contacts listed and I don’t recognize them. I know the people I worked with have mostly moved on to different jobs bc of family growth or I’d send you their info!

It’s too bad your pub isn’t pushing you since you have two new/upcoming releases happening. Not sure of your editor relationship, it would be helpful if they could get you on the list.

My apologies. I forgot writers block has 2 elements, the one where you table and one where you are a guest. It’s been a few years since I worked with them. Writers block is one thing on my head that encompasses both since we utilized authors who tabled as well as those we invited.

And I know you said Cons not specific ones so obviously that’s only one that had the option.

Specifically looking at ECCC website right now you can apply for their Writer’s Block. It’s under For Industry/Artists &Creators, Writers Block App. I can look at the other cons they do to check theirs too. ReedPop runs cons all over the world so it may depend on which country they are in for WB.

Ohhh. Gotcha. If you are trying to get into any of the cons that ReedPop specifically puts on, I feel like those people are responsive. But that might be bc I’ve worked with them at ECCC. Also, you might actually hear back bc you have crossover appeal with the SW work.

I know pubs will give a list of authors who have availability and upcoming/new releases to bring awareness and get them on panels. If your pub is one of the Big5 they do this. Also some other pubs do this as well. You could check w/your pub to see if they would put your name since you want to go.

I’ve worked with a comic as a bookstore employee&as part of a con team&reached out to authors/publishers to request authors. I don’t see why you couldn’t ask.Is there 1 you had in mind? Typically there are people in charge of different parts of the con. You could prob reach out to the author coord.

I’m blessed to know Ben and have been able to buy a copy of this at ECCC. I wish I had them all. They are delightful but this was my favorite of all of them as I was a bookseller. 🤩
