That means we have to be prepared for higher taxes. It’s the only way to get sufficient funds back into the system. If we don’t, we will end up with a private insurance based system. US health care costs more per person, and we still live longer. Our system is worth the additional investment.

I can only imagine what it would do to a person to be within a few hours of citizenship, only to have the absolute worst happen. It is pointlessly cruel. If they were rejected for citizenship, they would likely have had to leave anyway. But to get to that point proves their loyalty to the country.
