A day out in London in November. I'm only allowed to wear a pair of Umbro shorts. No pockets, no layers, exposed to the cold and crowds. Shorts and shoes are more than enough for me.
People always ask if I get comments when I’m out like this.
Mostly it’s just looks, double-takes, and the odd overheard remark.
This shot caught one of those moments — curiosity, then life carries on

Piccadilly Circus on a cold day. Neon, noise, movement — and me in shorts, completely exposed and humiliated. This is the uniform. No shirt, no backup, no escape. The discomfort is real, but dealing with it is the point. Learning to accept it.

Such a beautiful morning for a sea swim.
Fun waves, crisp cold water, and after last night’s heavy rain and winds it feels like a whole different world today.
Perfect for me… and my speedos 🌊🩲

Standing over the Thames.
London moving behind me.
Most people wrap up without thinking and i’ve been wondering how often we choose comfort by default — and what happens when we don’t.

I’m not fearless doing this. I’m just curious about what happens when I choose discomfort.

Having a break from the London photos today with a pic from this mornings swim. It's amazing how the sunshine really brightens the spirit at this time of year.

My first EVER night locked out in shorts and no shirt— January 2nd, 1999. No warning, no preparation. One moment I was chatting in a guys kitchen, the next minute I was taken to the front door and locked out for the night.

Trafalgar Square in November.
Just me and the lions.
Big, bold, proud symbol of Britain — and me trying to be the same, while actually a bag of nerves.

Another look back through the archives. About 5 years ago, being forced to sleep outside naked as I'm not allowed in the tent.

Crossing the Golden Jubilee Bridge by Charing Cross.
November London life rushing past — and me only allowed my blue Umbros, shirtless, just walking on.

Looking back to around 2007 when I used to be kept outside like this at night.

A train rushing past.
Arms crossed against the cold.
Red shorts, bare skin — standing firm while everything else moves.

Trafalgar Square. Christmas lights up. Crowds wrapped in coats and scarves.

And then there’s me — shirtless in blue Umbro shorts, walking through it like it’s just another day.

Once you stop fighting the cold, you settle into it.
No backup layers, no choice… just deal with it and keep moving.

This was just a small part of 5 hours of fun. I drove him into the countryside hooded & handcuffed so he couldn't see where I was going. I gave him a light & paper map but didn't tell him where on the map he was but it had waypoints to get tokens & a pickup spot. This challenge was at a waypoint.

Following on from the last post - Yes I did 😄
To answer the question in my previous post, @shirtlessmagirob.bsky.social did follow the instructions perfectly.

So whilst on a mission a came across this . . . . Did I follow the instructions?
You've been abandoned wearing just shorts & shoes in the middle of the countryside and after walking for a few miles, you come across this. Do you follow the instructions?
