I get it. I’m still catching up with so many things lol. If you are just following the Naruto storyline, there are huge chunks of Boruto you could skip. If you have a spare couple of hours, I highly recommend skipping to the time travel sequence where Boruto meets his father (Naruto) as a kid.

There’s also the themes of social isolation for being different and being vilified for that difference. Also apropos to today I think.

I won’t lie, I feel a bit defeated by the whole thing. Between the brutal competition, the inescapable flow towards homogeneity (like in the music world ), whether there will actually be a world to welcome my little offering, and now the war against people who are different, what chance for me?

I first started watching Naruto when my kid was 10 or something. It was such a great show on so many levels. What do you think of the boruto series? I enjoyed the time travel stuff where he interacted with Naruto as a child but otherwise lost interest in it.
