it's to a point where they genuinely think/belief that "nothing has truly progressed." as if they can't even comprehend the "slice of life" genre

there's appeal to both fast pace and slow pace. i'm personally fine with each of them (i do find that sometimes some stories have faster/slower pace than they should be, but i digress)

it's some people that can't stand either one of them. in this case, slower pace
January 2, 2026 at 7:25 AM
feels kinda sad to me. feels like they want it to be fast, but they hate the slow stuff so much, when there's no guarantee that fast pace is the right decision

and it's sillier when they don't see the development and go "it has no development," when there is, whether they can't or won't

a few months? there's no noticeable timeline as far as i know — if anything, each case probably hardly tells the date it takes place

i can understand getting frustrated by the stories being slow-paced. still, the fact that they can hardly stand it and/or they get so fed up by it so badly,

of all the events. the parties, the school events, other stuff, they all take place consecutively, one by one. it does show the sense of progress without you actually consciously realizing it. the same can't be said for "case closed," tho. as far as i know, the thousand of chapters spans for…

main or side, is still a fun ride. because it fills the rooms that is the world, the characters, and the plots, it brings life to them; it doesn't focus on only and solely the MC

a fun ride. not for some people, it turns out

i almost forgot, it also works because there's clear timeline
January 2, 2026 at 7:16 AM
the same can be said for iruma-kun, by the way. it has 2 battler party arcs, but they're significantly different to each other. nishi figures out the trick: never do the one thing twice; even if you do, do it differently

that's why, even tho it's moving very slowly, each arc and plotlines,
January 2, 2026 at 7:16 AM
you don't see stuff like "operation griffin" or george glooman's revenge or the card game over the legendary macarons being repeated twice throughout the entire series, with or without modifying variety. it's always different — at least different enough to bring enough variety

because those are when he feels so relaxed and safe, his exhaustion catches up to him. knowing "twilight," you don't see him — you can't even imagine him doing that before "the forgers"

another thing SxF does is that you can notice it doesn't do things repetitively, not like "case closed"
January 2, 2026 at 7:16 AM
but that's still development. denying that would be ignorance, and that'll be your own choice to do that)

by the way, i just happened to scroll around twitter and find a post saying that instances in which loid collapses from exhaustion shows genuine joy and relief,
January 2, 2026 at 7:16 AM
she keeps asking herself, and slow but steady, she realizes that she wants this. she wants loid, anya, and bond forger, so that she can become yor forger

(and even later on — spoiler alert — she realizes that she falls in love with loid. that takes over a hundred chapters, yes,
January 2, 2026 at 7:16 AM
and which one is not

the difference is, in stuff like "spy x family," there are developments, even if it feels slow. like, yor, who initially agreed to the fake marriage simply to avoid being caught as a spy, starts to question her reason to stay in the fake family

"what am i here for?"

about the black organization or not. you often need to go all the way to the end. so i don't blame people if they're tired ot it. i'm kinda tired of it myself (but maybe i may return to it some time). i imagine there's a website that tells which chapter is about the black organization
January 2, 2026 at 7:16 AM
case closed. not always of a murder, and there may be some varieties, but plenty of them follow this format. so the chapters about the black organization are actually (finally) refreshing, but that's after multiple chapters of that format

and initially, there's no telling if the case is
January 2, 2026 at 7:16 AM
because, at least in my opinion, plenty of the cases, spanning for a few chapters for each case, has been kinda repetitive

characters go to a place/event -> a murder happens -> they gather evidences, motives, alibis, etc -> he finally figures it out -> he explains the case -> the culprit confesses
January 2, 2026 at 7:16 AM
there's a charm in both types, and it's.. sad to hope/expect that ALL stories need to be fast (or slow) as you desire

really extreme cases would be something like "detective conan," and i'm not exempt from this, unfortunately, not gonna lie. as far as i can tell, and correct me if i'm wrong,
January 2, 2026 at 7:16 AM
people will do that, and will keep it that way, like it or not

i am curious if they even watch around here, to be honest. this platform is less known compared to its cousin, after all
January 2, 2026 at 6:54 AM
and the thing is, i don't need to say anything, not at all. it speaks by itself and for itself

and i don't need to say something about it every week or some time, too. he's famous, and everyone have watched it. that alone is already a blow. an absolutely unforgettable one, at that
January 2, 2026 at 6:54 AM
don't worry, you can have mine instead, and maybe you can develop them to react better than i could do. so you'll get to 'my' level with 'my' organs. it's a win-win for both of us!"

it's just so arrogant and stupid for no reason

what matters now is to deal with our problems right now, one way or another"

such is humanity

we can ask the same question to those who enslaved the negros, but do they even care to answer the question? pretty sure no
