Studying Environmental science! I'm more on the pollution side of things but I would love to listen.

I don't have any public access thing I can link, but I am studying for a toxicology exam and I have been reading in the Lancet that pollution and its health impacts in the world have been steadily dropping in the last 25 years.

Oh yeah, I also have that issue! I've been hunting the softest & most flexible brush I can find every time and been trying to hold it more loosely, though I think I still press too hard.

I have the same issues! It's very much to do with stress for me so I try to de-stress more before bed. Hope you find something that works for you!

I know the Tigerbees are the big cute money-makers but honestly I love these guys more. I still think they're a very original looking species but also something else and new!

Far be it from me to know, I'm in Ecology and not in Linguistics and Etymology. But since both come from the bible and are influenced by biblical Hebrew, non 0 chance!

But I've been living in Europe and in quite a few Germanic and Slavic languages it is as you describe.
In Czech for example 7:30 is said "half eight" in more traditional speech, but more often these days you would say "Seven thirty". (2/2)

My native language is Hebrew. I would 7:30 as "Seven and a half" or "Seven and thirty". But Sunday evening would be "eve of Monday" as according to the bible (which is interlinked with Hebrew) the day changes to the next after Sundown and when you can see stars, not at Midnight. (1/2)

Damn this is so fucking cool
November 10, 2025 at 10:35 AM
It is called that in different languages! And I find that in modern speak it gets changed due to how confusing it is. Like calling 7:30 in the morning half 8.
Like, yes, I get what you mean, but it's also not correct by some logic which makes more sense to me.

Love this!! Reminds me of House of Leaves typography, in a good way.

I think it's funny and relatable.

Oh wow, only if it's not too much trouble!!
You do need to make space and I might not even be able to get it in January. I will have space then, but maybe money...
October 30, 2025 at 7:51 AM
I really want to buy it but won't be able before January sadly
