my feelings was that the hostages were always symbolically the black parade - as in, a suggestion of what could be being done to them & the violence of the dictatorship - but this directness is in response to the rebellion. i think this show is very metaphorical but also the IMPLICATIONS aaaaaauugh

this tour has triggered my MCR phase returning, they may be one of the greatest rock bands rn because who else is doing arthouse stadium shows about being queer under facism that involve hot dogs and parenting ventriloquist dolls and getting stabbed by clowns on stage
