Like I'm not sure who coined it (though I have my suspicions) or if it had an actual purpose to start with, but these days it feels more like a way for evangelical nuts to basically claim support from Jewish people without ever having to actually speak to any of them.

At this point, whenever I see "Judeo-Christian values" referenced anywhere, I already assume some kind of dishonest fuckery is involved.
Like I can't remember a time I've heard it and it *wasn't* some right-wing evangelical trying to peddle Christian nationalist shit and claiming broad support.

Like I'd be surprised if NATO didn't have *some* kind of process set up for removing a country if they need to, but I doubt it's something that can or should be triggered by something like "another country's real mad at them but doesn't wanna have to fight all of us"

I may have reservations about Turkey being in NATO (for reasons not related to this), but it's also several decades too late for Israel or anyone else to think they could deal with it without having to worry about the rest of the alliance.
They joined in the 50s, it's not up for discussion anymore.

You...think it's ridiculous that a guy in prison for sex crimes against children might kill himself rather than deal with what's waiting for him, that the prison staff would want to avoid catching charges and lawsuits of their own, and that the government would also want to avoid being sued?

To be fair, pretty significant chances they'd do it if he took himself out, too. Wouldn't even be that unusual.
He was in government custody, and they do have a legal obligation to not allow that exact thing to happen.
Not that they care, but they do know they'd have to cover their asses.

I did kinda/sorta know about the A (since, I'm ace), but as far as I can remember there was still friction over whether or not we should be included or not since our whole thing is the *lack* of interest (broadly speaking, anyway, there's definitely different degrees of it).
