Encountered this mentality more than a few times while working for a non-profit that did work in Sub-Saharan Africa. The lefties were invariably more obnoxious and self-satisfied than the out-and-out racists.

One in three homicides where the perpetrator is unknown to the victim are committed by police. For comparison (while it’s difficult to know for certain) the number of homicides committed by illegal immigrants is likely less than 100 in total in a given year. Cops are more dangerous everywhere.
