Efficient Gas Boiler and Climate Control
@showpiece.bsky.social
Goals:
1. Climate comfort - where you can’t tell whether heating is on or off and you feel comfortable
2. Efficient boiler to minimise costs and pollution

E3G’s breakdown: save ~£150 (remove levies from electric heating) + ~£90 (power market reform) + ~£140 (better SCOP 2.8>3.5) + ~£175 (off-peak via smart-ready). £930-£555≈£375. Compare gas £820: ~£445 cheaper.

E3G’s “~£375/yr heat pump bill” isn’t today, it’s a future potential scenario. They start from £930/yr (2025 price cap heat pump) and apply 4 policy/market changes to cut running costs.

Amazing performance today. Tight heat control reduced wasted heat. The DHW cycle was the worst disturbance to room temperature stability today 🔥
