Gray Davis sucks but I think there is something particularly awful about being a Governor that continually vetoes your own party's stuff.

The most likely Garland trade scenario midseason is the Cavs are like hovering around .500 and need a solid wing.

Most likely case he goes to the Kings is if Michtell and Mobley both are hurt and they want to start a 1 year tank now

The Cavs absolutely have a chance of trading Garland. I think this season is a do or die season for them considering their cap situation. If they're struggling by the deadline, he is their best asset.

Kings ABSOLUTELY need someone like Garland. I just dont think the Kings have anyone the Cavs need

It would undoubtedly put the Kings into a great position, even in a tough West. I don't think it'd make them actual contenders tho and you'd need to give up quite a few picks.

But to talk realistically I cant imagine the Kings have the most competitive package to get him anyways

Understandable. I think removing/reversing current anti LGBT executive orders day 1 would be a pretty big minimum for me, but I dont think someone would have to run on the LGBT side of that specifically and could just run on reversing Trump executive orders in general

I think if the Harris campaign had something like raising the minimum wage, universal healthcare (or at least medicare public option), or something substantial that the conversation could easily be moved away from trans issues, as those do not affect the average person

I understand this perspective but I do not believe it to be the case. I agree with what I assume is the basis of this (2024 election Trump campaign anti trans ads helped Trump win). But I believe that what was way more important was Harris did not run on meaningful legislation
