Scanning and editing work from ~17 years ago, a time pivotal for my personal development.
It's difficult to tell the difference between nostalgia and quality of an image. Do I love these frames for their intrinsic, photographic value? Or because these moments were important to me personally?

I had to wait 20mins for the clouds to clear just enough so the falls that drape over the granite would be visible.

Today we’re remembering the legacy of Ansel’s dear friend & fellow artist Maynard Dixon on the 150th anniversary of his birth (January 24, 1875).
Ansel visited Dixon at home in Tucson a year or so before he passed away, & made this poignant, intimate image during an impromptu portrait session.
