If you're at the ASSA mtgs and are interested in gender gaps in the labor market, please join this session Monday 8 am. To draw out the links between the papers, there will be one discussant, a nice idea suggested by @profnoto.bsky.social; Camille Landais is generously playing this role.

Teaching folks: Any good !!free!! social annotation tools? Just heard Perusall may start charging (potentially mid-semester), even if you upload your own PDFs. Not ideal for my Dev Econ class - I require a lot of reading, incl. journal articles. I am all ears.

New research with @ShreyaBEcon on India's pension inequalities is part of a larger project examining how mandatory retirement ages affect health, income & savings outcomes. As India faces unprecedented demographic change, our findings reveal inequalities in multiple outcomes. 🧵
India’s ageing population is growing fast—but pensions aren’t keeping up.

In our new conference blog, Shreya Bhattacharya and @shreyaseedas.bsky.social explore how state-by-state pension gaps are deepening inequalities in retirement, work, and wellbeing. 👉 go.unu.edu/lf08Q

Back after the 4th Gender and Economics Workshop at the University of Luxembourg. The sessions were well-thought out and each paper flowed/belonged in those sessions. The organizers put so much thought in designing the sessions - model for what a conference should look like.
