reading up about thin vs fat LTO, and can't seem to find this clarity in blog posts or docs. source code with detailed technical documentation is really nice tho!

thanks to @anku.bsky.social's Porto, i was able to port over my tweets from the bird app.

buuut, due to some of the bird app's algo - i've had to link things in replies, which are no longer ported 🙁

damn, how do i search for this hotel?

⁦@IndiGo6E⁩ you need to fix your app to not show the hotel, when you can’t fetch the hotels details.

we have 3 different toolchains to “unify”
the JS ecosystem now

2 of them VC backed, 1 of them was originally backed but has a sponsorship model after rebranding 🙃

have to thank languages that own their toolchains - go, rust 🫡

500usd for making my profile better? appreciate that there’s some valuable things in there, but spending 40k on a platform that i just signed up seems wild.

idk who the target audience is; definitely not me :)

made some progress on linkerland, started with a linker map file parser.

I loved @mitchellh’s dev logs on ghostty so I might start doing it for my own projects as well (apparently it’s a thing in gamedev, which i didn’t know about)

came across this blogpost about linker scripts by @DrawsMiguel and it was a good read!

curious though, is it possible to write linker scripts like this to link rust files (that are not of the crate-type=staticlib)?

I tried manually linking a couple of…

building "linkerland" - a tool to visualize and parse linker map files. needed this for the blog, and couldn't find any reliable tools that did this well.

just wrote down what I intend to do, and might share things I learn along the way here. maybe I'll use egui + ratatui for…

started writing up on memory allocators, specifically arena allocators in rust.

lots of good material that I've read in the last couple of weeks. I'll try to explain my understanding in the next post.

(eta I've set myself is 2 weeks from now, let's see)

if someone handed over their phone and it had this font, I would return it back to them immediately to prevent myself from throwing it away

Rosemary is the ugliest looking default interface font in Samsung devices imo and I still see it around - my eyes burn looking at it 🤮

since 4o-mini is out, i don’t think paying for it makes sense for me anymore.

I’d probably pay for it if @openai had pricing based on usage (through credits) instead of a standard subscription model
