UK Royal Navy only tracked its transit through the English Channel this week. This is interesting - with a good pic of the Novorossiysk and RFA Tidesurge www.royalnavy.mod.uk/news/2025/ja...

Anonymous sources not elaborating on what they're claiming despite an overwhelming compilation of evidence to the contrary is somewhat suspect. Anonymous sources choose anonymity so they can reveal. There is zero evidence to the contrary proffered or revealed here.

I take your point - categorically attributing responsibility is challenging, and unlikely - but the evidence to the contrary in these seemingly random instances of damage, combined with the expansion of Russian hybrid tactics across Europe, is hard to ignore. Both instances involved shadow vessels.

Why would NATO quickly establish Baltic Sentry if this were the case? Why are senior government personnel, who are briefed on such matters, pointing the finger at Russia? The Eagle S dragged its anchor 100km over multiple undersea cables before ditching it - yle.fi/a/74-20135216

Come on, Shashank.
Authorities recover Eagle S anchor from Gulf of Finland
The NBI suspects the anchor was behind the severing of a critical power cable between Finland and Estonia and damage caused to four telecommunication cables.
