Our company decided to assign YT ads of EVERY locale to EVERY agent for some odd reason. I was hired for JP/EN, and used to work almost exclusively on Japanese ads. Now most of the ads I get are Korean and Vietnamese, and I have to use the manual translation tool EVERY. FUCKING. TIME. SO FUN.

Fun fact about rating Youtube Ads: we classify all ads made in "minor" languages like Urdu or Gujarati as "Latvian" for the locale. The explanation given to us was along the lines of "just because so".

I want to think it's a coincidence that my job moved from a "encouraged to work on weekends" flex shift to a 24 hour shift cycle and having set schedules (Mon-Fri or WED-SUN lol fuck your weekends), less than a month into the premier of MAGA 2: Soviet Boogaloo. But I have a feeling it's not.

One of the most ironic things about rating Youtube ads for a living: we don't get to skip ads before watching the actual ads on the YT platform. And pre-ads are promoting ADBLOCKERS sometimes. I loled pretty hard the first time I came across one.
