Low effort alt text is marginally better than no alt text at all. Marginally. It also doesn’t have to be a novel. A description of the image is enough. Doubly so if there is text on said image. Just please, consider the disabled folks in your life who need these things.

Not everyone who uses alt text is blind. Some of us can see that the images are different. I don’t wanna hear “oh but the algorithm” or “oh but my aesthetics”, it is an accessibility tool and you’re making your content inaccessible.

I had a referral to the headache clinic earlier in the year but it’s over a year wait so I’ll be at least six months before I hear anything, minimum. It’s so frustrating.

Yes there is still clean laundry in a pile on my bed and yes I still have to vacuum and do general tidying but god it feels so much nicer to not live out of garbage bags like I have been for the last few months
