Yeah. I was pretty disappointed, considering hearing all the hype, that it was just another white male fantasy writer who can't write female characters, get really weird about (fictional) POC, and is overly into making up their own fantasy slurs.

Lmao yeah I had the same sentiment. Great writer when I was like 19 and didn't read much. I didnt finish it back then and when I tried to return to it.... I barely lasted the first few chapters

Even with art, which I absolutely love and cannot live without, if you told me I had to draw non-stop, with little to no breaks for 8+ hours a day, with no time for ANYTHING else, I would tell you you’re crazy.

Like damn, I don’t like sitting under a bright cold light, breathing recycled air 40hrs/week, repeat the same menial manual labor tasks 24/7, juggle 10 different tasks all at once for the rest of my life? I clearly have autism and ADHD and need to take speed to focus.

“Boomers and previous generations did fine” literally alcoholism, mixing pharmaceutical drugs, domestic violence, animal abuse, and child abuse was considered the norm. I don’t think they did cope well.
