My @oishinythings.bsky.social pendant is here and it is indeed shiny! The color really changes depending on the angle and light, almost golden if I let light shine through from behind and blue looking down at it. Glad I got in before the tariff nonsense stopped US sales.

Simone Biles @Simone_Biles I wanted to follow up from my last tweets. I've always believed competitive equity & inclusivity are both essential in sport. The current system doesn't adequately balance these important principles, which often leads to frustration and heated exchanges, and it didn't help for me to get personal with Riley, which I apologize for. These are sensitive, complicated issues that I truly don't have the answers or solutions to, but I believe it starts with empathy and respect. I was not advocating for policies that compromise fairness in women's sports. My objection is to be singling out children for public scrutiny in ways that feel personal and harmful. Individual athletes-especially kids-should never be the focus of criticism of a flawed system they have no control over. I believe sports organizations have a responsibility to come up with rules supporting inclusion while maintaining fair competition. We lived in violence and poverty for 10+ years and moving was the only way to help them. I haven't seen any of my family or friends in 3 years (I can now afford their food and medicine, but I don't make enough for travel expenses). I'm worried my grandma will die before I get to see her again (fragile health, 2x cancer and recently broke her hip and is in the hospital), which is why I hope to go soon.

Each of the following have a green check in the She Ra column and a red x in the Potter column: Main characters are disgusted by injustice and are framed as heroic for fighting against it. Teaches kids they should question predetermined destinies and broken systems. Ends with the fundementally flawed order that the hero was taught by being dissolved. Is insanely, fabulously gay without the author having to clarify later on. Author is not fatphobic and portrays multiple body types in a positive light. "Why should coal miners pay for PBS"? This was an actual question asked by the Trump administration yesterday. Obviously a blatantly stupid question. We have questions too. Why should a poor black family in Detroit pay for the President to go golfing? Why should a single mother of 3 who's working 2 jobs in Louisiana be denied health-care so that the CEO of Aetna can get a tax-break? Why is the guy washing dishes in Baton Rouge paying for the President's wife's secret service protection so she can live comfortably in NYC? We could do this all day. But here's the real question the Trump administration and the Republicans who empower him need to answer: Do you have a heart? Did no one teach you to care about your neighbors? Do you know what "empathy" means? Did no one ever teach you to "share" when you were in kindergarten? Have you never heard the phrase "do unto others"? I can't think of a group of people who need to watch Sesame Street MORE than the Republican party. Perhaps they would learn some common decency."
