Linux is different for every distro, but for Mint specifically, the boot drive you make to install it actually has a memory tester built in, so you can use that

If you’re on Windows, go into the start menu and type in “Windows Memory Diagnostic Tool” and open that, click restart now and check for problems, and click extended test (this takes a while but it’s the most comprehensive).
