About every three months, I have to clean and reorganize the “studio”. It’s my own fault it gets like this, since I’ve crammed three different disciplines into this tiny room: curating a massive postage stamp collection, jewelry making and art 😅.

USPS found my package, and I now have my very own set of script liner paintbrushes!
I bought these mostly because of artist envy 🥹, but also because doing any type of fine hair or whiskers without these was damn difficult.

Taking in the fresh air and sunlight, spending more time outside overall. Work, caregiving, the state of my country- all of it has been exhausting.
At this point, I’ll take small wins where I can get them, so thrilled to announce that I DID NOT kill my grandma’s rhubarb last year 🥹!

This Thanksgiving cactus has been growing in a jelly jar for a few years, and has now been upgraded to a gravy jar.
The pebbles are my attempt to keep the main part of the plant up while allowing the rootball to stay in water.

I have a painting commission that I’m supposed to start, but I can’t do that until I’ve put away the postage stamps.

I really hope they’ll work in the graduated necklace I started and couldn’t finish because I, for some reason, did not have these sizes in my stash 🫣.

Starting a new compost pile today, and while I’m out here, I checked on last year’s- I must say, I’m quite pleased w/ the little batch!

Plant care this morning, checking for who needs water, who is due for a new pot this spring.
A few of the large Pothos need to be taken to the bathtub for a rinse, but not today. The poinsettia is a new addition, so been watching videos on how to care for it properly.

Good morning! My choice for today is this Buenos Aires issue, Steamship on the Plata River (“Barquitos" or “Little Ship”), imperforate. I suspect it’s a reprint (not sure which 👀), but even so, I still think it’s great 🙂!

Look at that depth 🤤 (swatches give me life)! Definitely going to use this in my sky-scape series. #painterlife
