Yes, male clothing. Something a lot of people are unaware of it seems is that women in the Colonial period often wore various bits of male clothing, for farming, etc. Also because they fought, often wearing buckskins. We have the records of it from both sides.

I love our Colonial period. Most of it, at any rate. I love the Constitution of the United States, its ideals and goals. I love going into the Wilderness and just being in Colonial kit and clothing.

At times I like a little steampunk/old western punk. Usually in the guise of a Marine sergeant, as I was in real life in the Corps. The chevrons are period style chevrons to put on a shirt I have. Not in this photo; blood stripes for the trousers, greatcoat. Enjoy, or not, as best suits you.
