Yes, I understand what you're saying. What I'm saying is different, and maybe just stupid, but: text is written. Just written language. What makes the Talmud a Jewish text is the way it is used by Jews. Not the text itself. It's not written in "Jewish", its written in Hebrew, which is not the same.

Ok I see why you think that. But its not what I mean, I guess I expressed myself very stupidly. I'm trying to make a distinction between a kind of ontological "jewishness" and just stuff that is made by jews. maybe that's stupid, I no longer know.
