I think boomboxes were the gateway to music / music collecting for many. I never had a decent one when I was a kid and got back into them via a charity shop Sanyo 10 yrs ago. They have to be Made in Japan for me: Sanyo, Toshiba, Sharp, JVC, Hitachi, Panasonic, Sony, Pioneer. Now I have too many...
