Yes. What people don’t understand, is that vision is a process of the brain. Eyes are just a way to pick up information, the brain interprets. The optic nerve carries that information from the eyes, to different parts if the brain for interpretation.

Technically, visual processing is a cerebral function. The eyes don’t read, the pick up the information, transport it from the eye via the optic nerve to several compartments of the brain. So no, you don’t read with your eyes, you read with your brain.
