We are supposed to be in awe of her writing about this at all because it’s an enormous risk. She could have just not said anything. That’s correct, but she wants to be a public figure so it kind of goes both ways.

After the break, Miller attempts to get Nuzzi to say she is specifically scared of Bobby during this time, but she won’t. She says she was “scared in general.”

He presses her on this point and she completely cannot answer. She says she was in hiding and terrified of Lizza. Starts to cry, has to take a break. Still says nothing negative about RFK Jr.

Miller: In the book at time of his confirmation hearing, you are praying for God to use RFK Jr. as a force for good. “At that point, it was pretty obvious that God was not going to use him as a force for good, was it not?”

Allison explains how she fell for and was manipulated by Keith to be a loyal enforcer, and became responsible for bad things through that.

According to Nuzzi, her book is about the past 10 years and how Trump ushered in the distortion of reality. How is a person who fell in love with a charlatan and is still in love with that charlatan supposed to illuminate that for us? Allison Mack on Keith Ramirez is much better on that front, imo.

She HATES Lizza. That’s obvious from how she speaks. But Miller can barely drag any criticism out of her for RFK Jr.

That’s a reaaaaaally cute answer. She deflects from serious questions with humor. She also still loves RFK Jr., imo.

Tim Miller asks her why she won’t release the text exchange with RFK Jr. She responds, “I think people have taken from me quite a lot through this process. It’s like, how much more do I have to violate myself?”

She asks to be off the record to discuss her true feelings on a complicated issue.

I suggest to all her friends in media: You probably don’t really know your friend.

She is an amazingly bad subject for journalists because she refuses to tell people what she really believes. She wants to not be pinned down. She wants to continue on being a mystery and say, I’ve put this chapter behind me. And recover her career. It’s pathetic, PR-driven, bullshit.

As @sanho.bsky.social says, we’re not blowing up the makers of cigarettes, which kill far more people.
