A good quality daily notebook with an attached pen.

This is a thing I get a new one at start of every year and use it as my daily note taking book. I usually try to get good quality ones. As a gift, I think people may use it in daily and may be reminded of you :)

... the test would not stop even if one or more of the assertion fails. It may still be following power law distribution, but the distribution looks certain different how it used to me for my code few years back.

At a personal level, a bit of change has happened for this part. Till I was not aware of assertAll capability of JUnit5, I used to have minimal assertions in my tests so that I know thing failed my tests. But now I have observed myself asserting of more items per test since I am sure that ...

Writing is thinking as we all know.

AI has definitely helped to me to improve my writing process where I also include couple of through away PoCs in it.

I am trying out this approach in real for my projects now. Previously, the feedback loops with my stakeholders were large and now with PoC becoming disposable, I can quickly show around what I aim to achieve with my project and then iteratively proceed towards the final design.

Was yet to explore the world of Java in 2007. But started with Eclipse in 2009 and transitioned to Intellij in 2017.

Now it’s mostly Intellij with Cursor now and then.
