Buying another inconsistent, young player who will inevitably have growing pains at a higher level, when we need a proven vet to take the next step. I hate this Moneyball era where value trumps everything.

I’ve given up on making any sense of how the club does transfers. The club is run like a football manager fan’s wet dream. We could have spent 300-400 million less and have the same team, basically. It’s instance how much of a waste that is.

It’s my main issue with analytics - people get so married to their code that they will go above and beyond to rationalize it. If the stats can’t account for situation variables, it’s ineffective.

If this team is ranked 39th in your rankings, maybe take a look at the system because it feels - flawed? I mean, I hope you actually saw the game because there is no way any reasonable person would disagree that their rank should be much, much higher.

I would be really really surprised if they can match what Milt and Sweat will get on the open market. I’d prioritize Baun over either of them; much harder to find a LB who can do it all than a DT or DE

Yup. Lurie initially wanted him back and figured Doug would agree to a coaching reshuffle. Doug had won the SB a year and rightfully figured he’d have other options on the market.

Also, the straw that broke the proverbial camels back and got Doug P fired from the Eagles; was asked to get rid of him (plus other coaches), refused and was let go.

On current form and injuries, Daniels. But the Eagles have shown that they can win without relying on Hurts. Daniels on the other hand, needs to be perfect. And even then, it’s not a given.

I think the Ravens offense is more well-rounded (esp if Flowers is healthy), but Josh Allen is just unstoppable when he is on a tear ..

True .. living in Minneapolis at the time, it felt even more special to have it happen half a mile from where I lived. Went out to the bars and celebrated with folks filtering out of the stadium lol - fun night!

No easy matchups this late in the playoffs. They have a competent offense and a defense that can generate turnovers.

I agree, but a LB who can cover and tackle in todays NFL is worth crazy $. Also, in a weird way, finding him validates Howies thinking that he/Vic can find similar players. Will he hard though!

Unfortunately, the only one I see coming back from that list is Mekhi; others might end up being too pricey
