Is there any data on increased social media consumption among middle age and older adults since 2020?

Didn’t they say that about 2025 too?

Even beyond foreign policy Biden’s entire pitch was vote for him to put the grown ups back in the White House! in retrospect can safely say no one thinks that’s what happened

Real fly in the ointment for the whole unitary executive theory

Isn’t this true for any new form of tech/media? Internet, social media, film, etc.? They all start out decentralized and organic and eventually power shifts to those with the most resources/financial wherewithal

I mean isn’t this conversely why the market OAS on this would be super high?

Disagree here. Trump is exceptionally good at turning out low propensity voters. The Obama 2012 voters wouldn’t have voted for Jeb in the general! And the only reason Dems didn’t wipe out in the senate is because there were tens of thousands of people who bubbled in Trump’s name and nothing else!

Always very funny working in securitized credit and seeing people freak out about this. Securitization is just a distribution mechanism for risk! What matters is the underlying risk and how much of it is floating around, which there just isn’t that much of for BNPL…

I work on asset based finance team at an alt asset manager, it’s amazed me how many have piled into buying UPST loans after terrible 2022 vintage performance and ongoing misses on expected performance vs actual

I think this stuff has to be contextualized with 1) a lot of millennials don’t trust credit cards post GFC, and 2) I haven’t seen good evidence that BNPL uptake is on net increasing credit seeking behavior / credit utilization, it’s just people substituting away from carrying a CC balance

People talking about Nuremberg with respect to these boat strikes must be living under a rock. Have you missed the last 50+ years of US foreign policy? You think there’s going to be any accountability for this?
