First tortoise hatchling of the Southeast season spotted on Aldabra! Look at it already practicing its little walk☺️

The next generation of giants begins!🐢

Nearly a month ago, our Aldabra team spotted 23 flamingos gathered at the pond, including several juveniles at Bassin Flamant. 😍🦩

Juvenile flamingos can be distinguished by their paler colouring, as they have not yet developed the bright pink pigmentation of adults.

They may be hard to spot, but bewtween July and August , you just might be lucky enough to witness them. Hammerhead sharks are significant creatures that grace Aldabra's waters and are often seen schooling together in a stunning underwater spectacle.💙
