You know what it is? It feels like at times there’s NO direction. Like sometimes the VO feels like they were giving the actors something, and other times it just feels bland.

It’s a shame- the gameplay is actually not half bad, tho it takes some getting used to. And a lot of the VO is great, and the costumes and silhouettes aren’t bad, just…proportioned wrong.

It feels like something went off in the art direction somewhere and it just doesn’t feel right

I’m gonna try and give Veilguard as fair a playthrough as I can, but…man, I know BioWare can do better than this, and I feel like someone with money somewhere told them to make it look Like That because they saw their kid playing Fortnight and thus killed off the beauty of the game.

I don’t know if I’m just too old to be the target demographic (which hardly seems right) but it feels like I’m looking at something for children. Like the proportions, the costume styling, it all feels very off for the gritty, beautiful world that I got set up for with Trespasser.

I play BioWare games because I want an immersive adventure where I form relationships, fight each others monsters, and save the world. I keep getting thrown by the almost cartoonish, Fortnite ish art style.

It feels like they made it in a more realistic scope for them, which is great! The mission format makes sense, and the combat flow is slowly feeling like i understand it, even if it is different.

I think it’s the art style that’s throwing me.

Got a job for a small designer. Freelance do digital embroidery nonsense. And...yeah. Got known as someone who can fix machines, operate machines, keep a shop clean and organized, and build just about whatever gets thrown at me.

All because I said 'if you won't buy that for me I'll make it myself'

I can tell you this is AI, because I worked on actually building the Milk Jacket. And these Don't Work This Way.

Chapter 30.

Fuck.

Also, of all of this author’s works, this is by far the most hopeless I’ve felt about the ending of a story. Like I don’t know how this one turns out okay.

So. About halfway through.

The book deals with a lot of real things that are fucked up, a lot of fictional things that are fucked up, and tossing them in together is a lot to process.
