JFC, this guy could not be more up his own ass.

Apparently my wife is unreasonable for noticing multiple armed guardsman a day on her commute to and from work.

Imagine the tiny sliver of the population that Matt Yglesias must consider as "reasonable."

Some insane details in this Reuters piece on Meta LLM chatbots.

One thing if these things are randomly spouting bad advice. But truly despicable that Meta are actively contemplating and okaying misinformation for cancer patients and sexual role play with minor users.

From his first term in Congress, Dean Phillips’ slogan was literally “Everyone’s invited.”

I guess that invitation is actually only for MAGA - not anyone at all to his left.
July 11, 2025 at 12:16 PM
Evidence of this - Dean is not a Democrat. He doesn’t want to be one. He is actively working to coordinate with billionaires like Elon Musk to try to start a third party.

It’s idiocy.

Basket of baby supplies.

Fox is just angry because a major sponsor is Tetanus Brand Baby Cages.

While Dean Phillips was right that Biden should have stepped down, can we all please realize that doesn't mean he was right about literally anything else?

Dude is a billionaire sycophant.

Not sure, “The entire organization Hegseth has been appointed to lead hates him,” is a very reassuring defense of him.

On the left, me skeeting 24 days ago that Dems should adopt message framing casting Republicans as chaos agents.

On the right, Politico noting that Dems are doing that.

Dems, you're overpaying your consultants. It's not rocket science.

As Musk's popularity continues to tank, I'm endlessly fascinated by former Rep. Dean Phillips' attempts to defend the dude - Phillips truly has the political acumen of a cow pie.

“Out in Greenland having the time of my life with a bunch of friends who are greeting America as liberators. They're all just out of frame, laughing too.”

One idea bounced around yesterday on here was that speaking clearly about the Trump regime's attacks on the Constitutional order doesn't work because liberals said it during his first administration too.

Does that criticism also apply to the actual messaging Dems have been robotically parroting?
March 18, 2025 at 9:38 PM
Schumer's postponed the book tour and Dems tweeted then quickly deleted an inane post about Trump affecting beer prices so maybe *maybe* someone on the team is waking up to the reality that 2017 messaging probably doesn't meet the moment.
March 17, 2025 at 2:05 PM
Part of Schumer’s hope is that Trump gets to 40% approval so Republicans start working with him.

Makes the sales pitch tougher when Americans disapprove of Dems even more.
March 16, 2025 at 4:29 PM
@dceiver.bsky.social - Wanted to highlight that I had a response to Warner urging him to go further that was pretty heavily liked.

Seems he's hidden my response now because I can't see it when looking at the original post from this or an alt account. Bad omen.

Thank you for calling, but this is not their only leverage and exactly what we don't want.

In this scenario, Dems trade cloture for the opportunity to vote on a 30-Day CR that *they know will fail*, then allowing Rs to pass the House CR.

Dems must filibuster anything without concessions.

@markwarner.bsky.social @kaine.senate.gov - Please be clear with constituents that you oppose this bait and switch plan. Please do everything you can to urge @schumer.senate.gov and colleagues to avoid this theater.

If this is the best you can do, just stay home. The commute's awful anyway.
