You can say a lot of good things about my office, but who even knew that the BEST of them is having a Common Kestrel and her chicks as my neighbours! Surely I am smarter when empowered by bird song ❤️

Kiel presentation over and done with! ❤️🌱 What an enjoyable session today, with lots of perspective on submerged landscapes. I call these pictures: 1) plant nerd gesticulates wildly and 2) is academia wildly biased against short people 😂

Catkins are all well and good but is there honestly anything cuter than a female hazel (Corylus sp.) flower? For the non-plant nerds it’s the tiny pink thing on one of the green buds in this pic!
