The last version of MTG's bill had the same issue, but the vast majority(like at least 2/3) of anti-trans medical bills go out of their way to ensure that intersex people are still a steady supply of victims for Uncle Mengele Jr and are kept in the dark about what is happening to them.

Like literally they refer to it as mutilation, but go "okay it's fine here". Ffs and that's not even getting to how many of us are disabled or killed by the medical malpractice against us, but I'm traumatized and have permanent scarring. They don’t even hide that they want to mutilate us. They keep the language and outright say ‘yes, you are allowed to mutilate the kids who we decided aren’t normal.’

It’s not surprising.

They just want more suffering.

As usual, they carved out exemptions that protect doctors who cut up, molest, and put nonconsensual hormones onto intersex patients because it's not about protecting children but ensuring the maximum amount of us are miserable.

Republicans voting against the felony national trans youth healthcare ban were Brian Fitzpatrick (PA), Gabe Evans (CO), Michael Lawler (NY), Mike Kennedy (UT).

Dems voting FOR the felony ban were Henry Cueller (TX), Vincente Gonzalez (TX), Don Davis (NC).

It is a breathtaking demonstration of the opacity and impermeability of the conservative bubble that they think the comparison of responses to Kirk's and Reiner's respective murders redounds well upon them, to say nothing of their choice to lionize Kirk in life and death, rather than Reiner.

The right wanted acknowledgment that they did not celebrate a not normie liberal dying, someone who brought joy to all of us. But Trump could not let them have even this.

People got fired for literally just reposting Kirk's words after he died. Lots of people felt like he endangered them, or saw them as lesser humans. Reiner...simply did not do any of that.
