Google review: 2:241 R Rebecca M 1 review .. 6 days ago I'm a little bit stunned that I have to write this review... It was my first time in and I ordered a hot chai latte with a shot of espresso. The woman waiting on me told me that they don't put espresso into the chai. I thought it was a little odd, but I said OK. I asked her why they don't put the espresso into the chai and she said that it was because it wasn't the vision of the owner. Again, I thought it was odd, but told her I would pour the espresso in myself. She made the espresso and set it on the counter, and I was waiting for my chai to come out. She said to me, "the owner would prefer if you drank the espresso now and not pour it in to your chai". I calmly said, "i don't want the espresso by itself. I will pour it into my chai." And then, in a stunning turn of events, she said, " If you pour the espresso into your chai, we will ask that you don't retuen." She said that they have enough business and they would be just fine if I don't return. Don't worry, I won't inconvenience you again with having to watch me pour an espresso into a $9 drink that I paid for and will be consuming. I highly suggest that you stay away from this arrogant place. Service: 1 00 3

Drugs developed with public funding are locked behind patents and priced like luxury commodities maximized for shareholder profit, not survival. To answer that, we need to start by asking a question that is deceptively basic, and is in fact incredibly hard to answer: What is care? Not care as it appears in the dogma of reimbursement codes, in metrics, statistics, or clinical workflows. Not care as in eligibility or compliance, but care as people want to experience it and as they imagine it. As they need it to be. As we long for it to be. Care as an act of mutual responsibility. Care as a relation. Care as a commitment. Care as a set of material conditions that are met, and in so doing life is made possible. Because the truth is, most people hold an expansive vision of what care ought to be. And they are right to. We imagine care means being tended to when sick, receiving support in moments of crisis, living with dignity. We imagine care means being seen, believed, held, treated. We imagine that care is widely available. That it can heal. Offer answers, transparency. That it is ours.
