What was slow is now fast. What was hard is now easy. What was risky is now mature. What was unregulated is now regulated. Blockchain is all grown up and powering the future of finance with stablecoins, digital assets, and programmability. If you’re not paying attention, you’re being lapped.

If you’ve ever tried building on Algorand before and found it painful, now’s the time to take another look. If you’ve used—or avoided!—Solidity, Move, or Rust to build on other blockchains, you should see how fast you can build secure dapps on Algorand with TypeScript.

Now, Algorand TypeScript levels up the blockchain part of decentralized application development to the experience TypeScript devs expect. You can write smart contracts with a world-class language, with all the same testing, linting, bundling, and package management tools you use every day.

I understood the need for low-level correctness and security when writing smart contracts, but the tools to write, compile, and test you code interrupted your flow more than they helped.

I’ve personally been wanting this TypeScript smart contract framework for years as an app developer. When I started building blockchain-enabled apps a few years ago, the developer experience was affectionately described as “chewing glass.”

I read the blog post and got excited 😀

Then @t3.gg read the blog post to me and I got even more excited 😂

Planning to make time this weekend to play around with it 🤓
