This year’s Nobel Prize in Chemistry has been awarded to three scientists – Susumu Kitagawa, Richard Robson and Omar M Yaghi – that developed a new form of molecular architecture with large spaces through which gases and other chemicals can flow.

Three scientists – John Clarke, Michel H Devoret and John M Martinis – have been awarded the 2025 Nobel Prize in Physics today for their macroscopic quantum mechanics experiments.
