i tried to juggle the [project] and my regular illustrations but it was no good: instead of concentrating on one thing at a time i ended up interminably splitting my time and attention between the two.
therefore, i'm taking a break to keep my eye on the [ball].

i am really sorry that i've been drawing less this year. the reasons for that roll up into a ball so big one could knit a sweater of issues and excuses. an oversized one.

like a wild doe, i would flinch and freeze, scrutinizing the space in an attempt to discern a threat. i was wary of every shadow.

i treasure every picture, and yet the first, the third, the fifth, the eighth and the ninth hold a special place in my heart. this year's Octoberly is beyond evaluation - it's always hard to remain impartial towards the new one.
