Regardless, it looks like the next four years could be characterized by a schizophrenic Trump administration that is every bit as chaotic and more unpredictable than the first Trump Administration.

We’re in the age of disinformation, and that is the bread and butter of Trump and the Republican Party. So, maybe all they need to do is persuade their constituency that any failure to deliver by Trump and the GOP is simply the fault of their political opponents and the show called deep state.

Maybe, and maybe the person to do it is Trump. He’s not tethered to any ideology beyond his demands for unflinching loyalty. I’m skeptical that he or the GOP can meet the challenge of holding together this constituency, but it may not matter.

Elon Musk, Mark Zuckerberg, and a host of other billionaires or decamillionaires don’t have the same interests or objectives as doc workers or members of various blue-collar, skilled trades.

Can their interests be harmonized?

The articles about Trump‘s support for dockworkers is evidence of my observation (correct or not) that the Republican Party is slowly coming to grips with the reality that it has a new constituency with disparate interests and objectives. Holding this constituency together will be challenging.
