For now, I’m at the South Health Campus. My care here has been amazing. The Nurses, Aides and various Doctors have explained and supported me every step. My strength has increased, and even though it’s hospital food, it’s not too bad.

Right now they are working on the remnants of the abdomen infection that brought me into hospital. Once that is resolved I’ll likely be transferred to Foothills for radiation and chemo. At that point, I believe my city tour of every major hospital will be complete!

I had my first consult with my cancer team at Foothills a couple of days ago. My cancer is classified as stage 4, which means it can never be “cured”. It can be reduced, shrunk, and even go into remission, but never be officially cured.
