Politics is a strange beast. In order to be true to your values, you may not have power. However, if you don't have power - you can't enact your values. So, you do what it takes to get elected and compromise your values.

The problem with theories about how the world works is that they are....theories. They can never encompass the infinite complexity and beautiful chaos of life.

There are only so many decisions that can be chalked up to stupidity or lack of care. The Trump Administration has crossed that line in my mind and is now I think that they are just evil bastards.

I am of the firm belief that we can beat Trump honestly. However, I am a bit concerned about some false information I have seen circulating recently. There were, in fact, fewer airplane crashed in Jan 2025 than there were in Jan 2024. Sharing this stuff just makes us look foolish

Who are the real elite in America? It seems that we mean white, rich people - but how would our thinking change if we thought about anyone with a college education as elite. From this perspective - didn't the democrats loose the last election because they were speaking only to the elite?

Folks - we need to keep our eye on the ball. Even as we speak there are a bunch of 20-something bros and their noxious leader messing with everything in our government. This will impact every single person on the planet. Don't get distracted.

There are two kinds of people in the world....those who are willing to see the brokenness in the world and those who just want everything to be "great" again. The reality is that nothing was ever really "great." The stuff that was broken was just hidden and not talked about.

How is it that when Michelle Obama wanted school lunches to be healthy - MAGA was so against it that they repealed the rules as soon as Trump was sworn in the second time.....and now we get to listen to RFK Jr and the senators talk about what a tragedy it is that our kids don't eat healthy enough?
