For me, it's the ADHD- if I use the oven, I need to set an alarm, a physical kitchen timer, and a timer on my phone, and there's still a slim chance I burn shit by losing track of time. In the air fryer, it cooks and turns off and most of them even beep like hell when done. And cleanup's easier too.

When it's no longer a characterization note because it's done across the board the way they do, it just becomes shitty writing that shows how much the WRITERS are afraid of vulnerability, instead of showing that the CHARACTERS are!! Which is what makes it bad! Not the quips, but the handling of them

Not just that but that they do this with every character, regardless of personality- it's one thing if Tony Stark is always undercutting emotional moments with quips, he's avoiding vulnerability, he does that! But for everyone else to do it, too, every time... it stops being about the characters!!
