I am working to gather information on what universities are doing regarding 1) bridge funding as people wait for grants to hit and 2) PhD admissions. I can share everything I compile!

Anyone find it funny how when the UK releases the Cass review to ban trans care, we get everything ranging from New York Times push notifs to op-eds in every major US paper...

But when Germany, Switzerland, and Austria release pro-trans youth care guidelines, not a single article anywhere but mine?

1. Major news in transgender care.

Germany, Switzerland, and Austria have just released their trans youth care guidelines.

They strongly recommend trans youth care and slam the
Cass Review in England.

Europe is not "pulling back" on trans care.

The recommendations, released by the Association of the Scientific Medical Societies in Germany, come at a time when US politicians erroneously claim that Europe is "pulling back" on transgender care.

Certainly says…something that a heavily Black city is being threatened with federal takeover if it’s mayor doesn’t sandblast BLACK LIVES MATTER, trans people are being stripped of rights, companies working on integration are being threatened, but this is the focus.

Pitch perfect response from Georgetown Law reminding Ed Martin that it’s wildly inappropriate on both religious liberty and free speech grounds for him to attempt to use the power of his (interim) office to dictate what curriculum is “unacceptable” at the university.

This is BS! stop sacrificing people for political gain. Leave this very small population alone and worry about the real problems in our country.

At this point yes, you do have to hand it to Bill Kristol, longstanding Republican operative and leading proponent of the US invasion of Iraq, who is doing far more in his personal capacity to publicly defend trans people than the Democratic Party, the nominal opposition to Trump

Public comment is now open for passport gender marker changes.

You can go here to go to each of the three proposed passport rules, and submit comment.

My suggestion: be unique, argue for trans-inclusive policies, against the constitutionality of the changes, etc.

“Today, DEI has become the new N-word; the new rightwing abstraction deployed by Republicans to conceal their anti-Black racism.”

My latest for the Guardian, in which I cite Lee Atwater, and bring lots of receipts.

Sorry, but it has to be said:

🚨 The CDC has been silenced by Trump—stay informed with daily AMA updates.

The MMWR typically runs 20–25 pages with four or more reports on disease investigations, health trends, and public health developments.

Last Thursday’s edition, 8 pages with two reports.
