My GP surgery suggested that to get an appointment I should turn up at the surgery at 8am, because they’ll allocate appointments to people at the reception before those who phone up.

I asked what about the people who can’t get to the surgery? Silence was the answer.

Writing ‘thanks’. Worrying that writing ‘thanks’ will sound sarcastic and editing it to ‘thank you’ or ‘kind regards’

Morning dog walk is now definitely in the dark.

There’s a period of compressed activity as really early joggers and walkers walk a little later to catch the light. They’ll jog later and later until I guess they stop.

I’ll get the head torch and ‘disco dog collar’ out and keep on walking
