I plan to post at least one of my photos a day here on Bluesky. I design each of my photos using recent research into the benefits to mental health of looking at plants & patterns in nature.
Making my collections relaxes my noisy autistic+ADHD brain & they'll relax yours by looking at them here:

Really hope my words have helped a little. You’re a valuable human. If someone dismisses, bullies, laugh at or refuses to try to understand you then that speaks about THEM, THEIR character/value, not yours. It’s crapness/laziness/ableism/bullying that is writ large 👀 x

Yes I see now why my self esteem is still so low tbh-constant feedback from the world that I, we, neurodivergent people aren’t correct, there’s something/many things ‘wrong’ with/unacceptable about us. It’s hard to go through life with this wiring & robust confidence/good mental health.

Our brains literally have different structures to those of NT folk. We relate to other humans and the world differently. Please note I’ve typed differently-it’s not wrong, not at all.

Yep that kind of thing is incredibly hard-laughing at someone & not explaining why is unkind & not ok. I’m sorry-it’s MacOS vs PC. Nothing you’re doing wrong, just a different way of communicating.

Oh no truly I’m not complaining, these are posts to help others in case they’re dealing with a similar list or their loved ones are. Yes, it’s rough, but understanding it helps me be waaay kinder to myself about struggling with it all 👍🏼

…burned out or exhausted.
I so hope these posts might help someone recognise what’s going on for themselves or someone they love x

…my tastebuds/brain that was way too much but I didn’t have the words to express this, instead I became extremely anxious at every meal & was constantly very underweight. It’s very common in autistic children. My ARFID continued until I was in my 30s & sometimes recurs when I’m really …cont’d

In case you hadn’t heard of it (I only learned of it around 2yrs ago), ARFID is Avoidant Restrictive Food Intake Disorder. I struggled to eat anything other than a very limited range of foods when I was little due to tasting things very intensely-even very mild cheddar felt like an assault on…cont’d

2/2 me with internal ableism-being unkind to myself for struggling with this wiring. Not posting this for pity-it’s to help those who aren’t ND to understand the range of tricky stuff their loved ones may struggle with & for those who have similar wiring to me to help quieten that critical inner git👀

I just commented on a post by Toren Wolf’s mum on IG about the conditions linked to his autism that he really struggles with. She asked commenters to write their lists down. I’d never done this before. This has helped me tbh-it’s a lot for one brain/person to contend with & I think it’ll help…1/2…

There are now just 7 of my 2026 calendars left.
I create my photos using recent neuroscientific research so that looking at them dials down stress & is likely to lift mood.

Thankyou for that quote but I don’t think the author has ever experienced autistic burnout.

Having been v unwell for the 1st half of this yr I’ve been doing better recently by being far kinder to myself. Today’s a set back tho-full autistic shutdown. There must be reasons for it tho-it’s ok to have a day when my brain isn’t doing well. Beating myself up about it will make it last longer.

Thankyou this does make a lot of sense. I’m also fighting off a cold which always affects my brain biochemistry (& my elder daughter’s) really significantly-any dopamine that was around effs off to Torremolinos leaving sensory sensitivity & hardcore anxiety. This brain flavour is tough to live in.

Can that affect neurodivergent wiring? Genuine question, not me arguing 🌿

I don’t remember your handle from twitter. Ngl I prefer feeds who declare who they are openly.

Um I’m neither a therapist nor a lawyer. Sounds as tho you need both.

Feeling especially bogwitchy this evening (my hair looks utterly demented, ngl owls may be roosting in it). If someone has wronged you I’m summoning potent hedgewitch curses & incessantly irritating conditions may well befall their underneaths.
I know where the hemlock grows.
Yep. 👀🌿
