That’s more of what the definition of abortion means than anything.

Any form of purposing termination of a pregnancy via operation or chemically is an abortion.

So causing a miscarriage does fit that definition.

Ah I see. Yeah I just tell them the passage because of that. The “read it for yourself” and hope I get them curious enough to do so.

Oh here the key passage in NIV Numbers 5 22 May this water that brings a curse enter your body so that your abdomen swells or your womb miscarries.”

It clearly says Miscarry.

As I stated in my first post. The passage includes the rules.

At no point did I bring up modern morality. Just that there is an example of when, what situation and how.

Personally I’m against abortion unless it a medical emergency, or result of rape and such.

The key word is infertility. As in unable to have children even the one she might have been pregnant with.

So she will loose any possible chance of having children.

Come to think about it. That might be worst then just having an abortion/miscarriage.

Yes so if guilty the wife suffers a miscarriage.

There is actually abortion in the Bible. Not condemning but actual rules and directions. Numbers 5 11-36 (might be wrong on ending line)
