In that case then your whole ability to earn a living can be pre-determined by machine code programmed (for now at least) by programmers but who's to say this won't fall to ai. In which case it will be a machine that decides your ability to survive and prosper. Scary thought...

Now that same product goes through an intermediary (the social algorithm) which determine's how (or if) your potential audience gets to see what you are selling. If the algorithm likes you - all well and good - but what if it doesn't, or if your product doesn't fit its pre-programmed requirements?
