Trained as a librarian. Right now I mostly do human rights research.
Like indie-pop, running, films, giving annoying answers at pub quizzes.
ADHD.
Reading Jo Walton's Among Others, wonderful book but I'm amused at the idea that a librarian in the 1970s would have referred to patrons as "clients". Did we not spend the whole of the 2000s arguing about this on lib-blogs, and whether we should say patron, user, client, customer? :D

AI still with a bit of work to do there: type "Is Never Let Me Go Slipstream?" and Google AI says no. Try the same search but put quote marks around Slipstream and it says the exact opposite.

The ever-reliable Guitar Wolf playing up a storm at Valhalla last night. Jet Rock n Roll for the win!

Highlight included the singer asking what the tallest mountain in Wellington is, to be met by a series of wrong answers ("Mt Vic"? Really?) and some epic crowd surfing from the band.

Absolutely fantastic run today, up Mt Vic, across to Mt Albert and back. First time in a very long time I've run hard and kept pushing myself on tired legs.

Horrible views and rubbish weather, as well.

Good news Wellingtonians, we've got another nice quote to use for the next 20 years until everyone is utterly sick of us:

Thank you Jonathan Liew of the Guardian: www.theguardian.com/football/202...
